New Track: 'Mono Melo' By DJ Seinfeld Is A Foreboding Experience

It’s still one of the best, if entirely inane aliases out there- DJ Seinfeld is back with a new EP titled Galazy. Of the four track release the clear best of the bunch is the enigmatic and mystifying track ‘Mono Melo’. The first 30 seconds of the sequence is a mischievous ruse. Rattling percussion and odd ball dial manipulation creates a raucous block party sort of vibe. Free style choreography could be extrapolated in myriad ways from the skeletal and fidgety drums. Slowly but surely however, a much more alien and tense synth tide emerges in a cautious and subdued manner. It slowly pulsates like a beating heart, but comprised of starkly foreign sonic acumen. A counterpart bass synth kicks in and the pair in tandem completely culls the rest of the rhythm- especially on a good sound system or proper headphones. ‘Mono Melo’ becomes a dire and macabre experience, with streaming synth fulfilling fiendish and controlling purposes. The beat becomes one of strange intimidation and otherworldly unease. If one was to be abducted by malignant aliens, this would surely be a fitting soundtrack. Yet the droning malice is masked by grace and gleaming style. It’s sleek allure almost seems designed to lull you into letting your guard down. It all drifts away in the end but the strangely effecting experience lingers with you. Like an echo without an origin, you can’t really grasp where it came from but it’s mark is undeniable.
