The Seer By Holy Mountain Brewing Works On The Patio Table Or The D&D Table

Ok crew it’s beer time with Tristan and Mick. For EP28 of BORP we tried a beer called The Seer by Holy Mountain Brewing out in Seattle Washington. Beyond having some starkly minimal labels, this crew has some truly fantastic nerdcore names for their beers (Spaceman Bob, anyone?). A lot of the terminology seems derived from table top RPG acumen, likely providing some insight into what they do when they aren’t making beer. The Seer is an oak barrel aged Saison, dry hopped with brett yeast strains. By dry hopping with hops with low level alpha acids, they tend to highlight the essential oils which greatly accentuates the aroma. It had a muted bitterness that finished off the clean and sessionable taste very well. Great aromatics from the dry hop process. It had a somewhat thin, unpronounced texture and weight to it; the kind of beer you could drink half of without really noticing. This is an ideal summer time patio beer that won’t knock you out, or something you can keep at long into the late hours of the night. Keep an eye out for The Seer on your local shelf and do swing by Holy Mountain if you’re ever in Seattle.
