BORP 42: Low's Double Negative/ Wall-E/ Container Brewing & Mariner Brewing

Hello friends and welcome to EP 42 of BORP! It's gonna be a long one, but we figured you've got time these days. As we adjust to our new isolated reality we've endeavoured to not make the show entirely Covid related, but we do check in with Tristan and Mick to see how things have shaken out for them (hint- both unemployed). Not that they've worked very hard to earn it but there were some fun beers to try out these week (9:00). Mick brought a very interesting dry hopped lager by Container Brewing and Tristan brought a sour white IPA by Mariner Beer, and it's about as intriguing as the name in implies. For album time (30:45)Tristan picked one of the most unique albums of 2018, the distorted and devastating Double Negative by Low. Mick and Tristan dive real deep into this one so strap in, it's gonna get traumatic. For movie time (1:39:10) Mick thankfully picked something way more uplifting and went with the untouchable Pixar classic Wall-E. rather than discuss the film in any meaningful way, Tristan and Mick just imitate the robot voices as that's about all they had left in them at that point.
