This song just makes me happy.

Sometimes music is just really easy and it hooks you the minute you let it take hold. I can say with full honesty here that when I first heard a song by Far Caspian, their latest single, ‘A Dream of You’, I was charmed immediately by the loveliness of its dreamy tone (no pun intended). The fact that it was set to a compilation of youthful courtship from the film “Heathers” gave it even that much more nuance and charm.

Yet for all this blissful indie rock timelessness, ‘A Dream of You’ hasn’t been the song of which I’ve been hooked on of late, as its been the trio’s first single which has had me at hello ever since.

‘Between Days’ evokes many of the tropes of which I covet when it comes to indie fare. A ripping melody, excellent lyrics and great pace. ‘Between Days’ has all three and more, which as you can see here, has caused me to play this song incessantly of late.

With Joel Johnston on vocals and rhythm guitar and Jof Cabedo on Drums and Alessio Scozzaro on Bass, I see a bright future for the Leeds lads. Think Real Estate with a bit more pep.

‘Between Days’ was their first EP and it came out last year. Their latest EP, ‘The Heights’ came out recently. Do check it.

They’re currently on tour in Europe. Here’s hoping they have a North American slate on the horizon.
