The Jazz Hands Salted Lime Pale Ale Has A Dinosaur On It's Label And That Should Be Enough
Tristan Young @talltristan
Gonna go out on a limb and say this is the best label we’ve seen on a beer for the show so far. For EP31 of BORP we checked out the salted lime pale ale made in collaboration with Parkside Brewery, Steel & Oak and St Augustine. It was made to celebrate St Augustine’s 2000th beer menu and its a ripper of a good beer. Superior Pilsner, Munich and Carapils malts, Amarillo hops, dry hopped with Citra and Centennial, the requisite citrus components, and most interestingly a pinch of salt go into the mix for this one. The malt, hop, and lime content are very well balanced. It’s that salt content on the finish of the beer that really comes through, almost providing a tannic like sensation. It makes for a uniquely stimulating finish that you might not always associate with beer. The idea of something being slightly salinated may be off putting but it works way better than one may expect. It’s like the idea of salty snacks and the inevitable beer to wash them down we’re combined into one experience. Great job team- patiosaraus!
