The Red Collar Märzen Is Light Enough For Summer But Its Malts Will Carry You Into The Fall

Put on your Oktoberfest fast caps, friends- it’s märzen time! For EP29 of Beats On Repeat we checked a märzen from Red Collar Brewing and it was just lovely. Red Collar is a smaller operation from Kamloops, but it’s run by great people that really know their stuff. A märzen is Bavarian style beer dating back to the 16th century that was brewed in March but meant to keep till fall. It’s very malt forward with a bit of higher ABV considering it’s got the weight and texture of a lager. For those that want a lighter style beer that has big malt content, we recommend a beer like this. Great job Red Collar!
