Strange Fellows' Beldame Pilsner Is A Densely Layered Offering Of Sweet And Bitter

Don’t mind the angry lady on the can, this is a very good beer! For EP27 of Beats On Repeat we cracked open a couple cans of the Strange Fellows Beldame old world Pilsner. It’s aGerman style pilsner made with saaz hops giving it a herbal and earthy tone. The Beldame had a distinctive saccharine characteristic but it balanced well with heavily produced hop/bitter content. That mixture gave off rich and savoury flavours and it was just great. Despite nearly all aspects of the flavour being very predominant- this is not a subtle beer- no aspect was overbearing towards the other. This one might have to go on Mick’s top ten Pilsner list. Yes, he has a list.
