BORP 37: Casino Vs Japan's Go Hawaii/ The Fugitive/ Left Field Cider & Dominion Cider
ok crew welcome to EP 37 of BORP! we tweaked the format a little for this one based on feedback that the show is just too damn long. This is fair! Are we going to cut back on the content? Hell heckin' no! What we did do however is split the episode into two parts. Part 1 will feature one of our beverage choices, and our album & film analysis. Part 2 will have the second beverage choice, new and noteworthy and three questions for our man T. Let us know what you think! In this round Mickey and Tristan are both recovering or in the middle of flu season. Tristan's body is basically the temple of doom so makes sense but Mick's been on the healthy life style so what the hell? Mick talks about his recent experience at the Vancouver Pod Fest while Tristan wonders if they have pets and beer at The Pitchfork offices. Speaking of beer, we have none of that this time. What we do have is some cider. We try not one, not three, but two(!) ciders from Left Field Cider and Dominion Cider. Mickey's taste buds were a little wonky but Tristan assured him they were delicious. For our album picked we listen to the electronic deep cut by never quite well known producer, Casino Vs Japan and his album Go Hawaii. Our film pick is the seminal 1993 thriller The Fugitive. Tristan praises the film's elegant handling of the relationship between Harrison Ford's and Tommy Lee Jones' characters while Mickey mostly just comments on how ripped Ford was, and honestly we are here for that too. New and noteworthy from Men I Trust, Best Coast (great name!), Huck, and FKA Twigs (terrible name!). find the EP on iTunes, Spotify (search Beats on Repeat), or listen right here. You can also find our EP37 playlist featuring all of the tracks we discuss at length on Apple Music or Spotify. be sure to stay up to date no new episodes by following us on instagram Thanks friends!
